A “Sinister” Goal

Last Monday the Secretary of the Department of Energy, Chris Wright, called the effort to achieve net zero carbon emissions a “sinister goal.” This means that not only does he disagree with the need for clean energy, and not only does he deny climate change is a threat, but also he goes even further and claims that developing clean energy sources is somehow evil. All the evidence shows that global warming is a threat, that humans cause global warming, and that we must develop clean energy sources to address global warming. Our Energy Secretary — who should be leading the effort to create clean energy sources — says that the very idea of clean energy is immoral. The world turned upside down!
